At CES we are a family. Our staff and students feel loved, celebrated, and supported. Our administration trusts our teachers’ professional judgement and supports teachers to explore their educational interests to help make CES an even better place for students. When students make mistakes, our staff views this as an opportunity to teach appropriate student behavior through restorative practices. Students in Indiana, may be able to attend Charlestown Elementary through our out of district transfer process. Call our school for more information at 812-256-7284.
All communication regarding the reason for absences/tardies must be communicated through the school office. Parents may also contact the teacher regarding absences/tardies; however, it is imperative the main contact be the school office. A phone call from a parent or guardian to the school office prior to 10:00 a.m. is required for any absences, tardiness, or schedule changes. A voice mail message may be left on the general mailbox 24 hours per day by calling 812-256-7284. If the office has not received a phone call from a parent/guardian regarding the reason for a student’s absence or tardy by 10:00 a.m. an automated phone call will be made to determine why the child is not at school.
